Customer selection dialog behaviour (a few points)

Hi everyone,

This is my last post for tonight so your inboxes don't overflow!

Patient selection is carried through into Workflows

Anyone sometime find that they wished that the Patient that is used in the Customer search dialog is made the current selection?

eg.

1. Some calls for new appointment

2. Dbl click on schedule/worklist slot.

3. Find Mr Smith (Customer="Smit") with his pet Poopy ("Patient="Poop") in New appointment/task dialog.

4. Select correct Poopy Smith

5. Back in New appointment/task dialog the patient field is filled with Poopy.

Currently the Patient field is empty and needs to be selected again.

A more streamlined Tab order

For those who use "Tab" to move through the dialogs, do the Search and some of the option buttons need to be included in the tab order? I try and get staff to avoid using the little "search" buttons as it is more time efficient to enter text into the box and press "Enter". The little search buttons really only are for those using their mouse and as such could be skipped in the tab order?

Previous search text remains but is highlighted to allow easy overwriting

When jumping back into a Customer search and you want to see the previous search you just did, could the previous text be retained so if you want to do exactly the same search you could just immediately press "Enter"? If the text is retained, the it should be selected/highlighted so that it can be reasily replaced by just starting to type.

Single results

If a customer search returns one result, would it save another click to have it automatically select the returned unique result? Just like in the product field when Billing.

Enough for now!

:)

I too think that you should not have to select the patient again when you have already selected it once. Is this something that we can look at changing.
