Customer Types - Person and Organiation

Hi Everyone,
As you may be aware, when adding new Customers you are currently prompted for a Type of customer to add, Customer Person or Customer organisation.
If it is not being used I was thinking of rationalising this to just the one selection (i.e you wouldn't get prompted for type when you selected New in Customer Browser or Customer Information workspace) and adding a company name field to the current Customer Person type. Thsi fiedl coudl be blank of course.
I was wondering how many users have already utilised the Customer Organisation selection ?
Cheers

Thanks.
Won't need to delete , can actually migrate it across as part of the change ..

I think this is a great idea which would work well. I think most clinics wouldn't have had this sort of option in their legacy system - so data would have converted as customer person... The remove of the selection dialog and addition of the company name field will be perfect. :)

Agreed
Agreed - one category best. Simplicity always wins

For the sites I have been involved in this option has been used minimally. Most small animal clinics already have their Pet Shops / RSPCA's etc in their system and they come across in the conversion as a normal customer file.
I think however that in equine / LA it would have been used to enter stables / farms / agistment etc for link to location. It is hard to guesstimate the frequency of use in these scenarios.
I think however that the proposed change would be fantastic. :)
