Document Template no PDF

Is it possible to have a document template that doesnt attach a PDF - ie it just sends an email with a body.
I can obviously just delete the PDF manually but this option would be awesome
Re: Document Template no PDF
This is what the Template button in the email window is intended for.
This enables you to select an email template to generate the email.

Yep I understand that - but I cannot attach an email template to a reminder... its alwats a patient letter / form
The use scenario is obvious - using email there is very little call to use attachments these days - in fact, the data pretty much shows that you want the info in the email body not in an attachment. The new HTML email stuff means I can create clickable links etc and no longer always need an attachement.

You can link an email template to the Reminder Document Template, untick attach as pdf in the Reminder Configuration and in the Reminder Type Count add the relevant Template and in the rules tick Mail.
This will result in the Reminder going via email using the relevant email template and not as an attachment.

I had forgotten about this option so thanks - however the obvious issue is that in applies across all reminders.
I will need to work through all templates.
Question - does the object supplied to the Email Template match the one supplied to the document template. IE in grouped reminders does the email template receive the same object structure as the document
Re: Document Template no PDF
Yes. Take a look at reports/Reporting/Reminders/Email/Patient Grouped Email Reminder.jrxml included in the OpenVPMS distribution.
