Easier navigation through Patient Medical Records

Hi,

When scrolling through the pages in Patient Medical Records it would be very handy if when you got to the bottom of the page of hx there were 'NEXT or PREVIOUS page navigation ARROWS' that you could click on and they would take you to the TOP of the next page.

When you have a 10 page hx and get to the bottom of the page you have to go back up to the top and click on the next page arrows, it would be much simpler to be able to navigate to next and previous pages via arrows at the bottom of the page as well as the top.

Page Navigation

Hi Sandra,

A great idea. I usually just use the page up / page down buttons for prev/next page but when I get into 'mouse mode' I end up scrolling back up to the top to the arrow button

Cheers,

Nick

Re: Page Navigation

Hi Sandra and Nick,Think this is a good idea.  May I suggest that an alternative approach is the area area on the top of the summary which contains the date range, history type filter and the page naviagtion does not scroll as it does now but remains fixed at the top of the page.  This woudl mean you could doing any navigation and filtering operation not matter where you have scrolled the summary. CheersTony

Re: Page Navigation

Bloody good idea, should apply to all areas such as scheduler etc . Thought it was something that was part of the browser and couldn't be changed. Chris

Medical record navigation

Matt C likes this.

Other things to include as fixed headers

Could the headings of schedule/worklist views be fixed also?

OR the top part of the page in Patient Medical Records could just stay put and the hx could scroll up and down behind it!

Easier navigation through

In 1.4, you should be able to use the Page Down and Page Up keys to navigate through the pages.

The Home and End keys should take you to the first and last page respectively.

In 1.5, you will also be able to cursor through pages using the arrow keys.

Easier navigation through

This is a great idea.

Either  alternative NEXT / PREVIOUS button at bottom of page( like all the internet banks seem to have) or Sandra's idea is a beaut with the scrolling history past a fixed banner; if this is not too costly to implement.

Re: Easier navigation through

Hi Matt & Sandra, Tim has made it such that you can just "page down" (single key stroke) to move to the next page of history. Would this remove the need to have Next/Previous buttons in medical records?

Easier navigation through

Hi Matt, Tim and all,

Yes, would be fine.

Thank you Tim, I had become so use to older version ( 1.3) and having to go back to top of page did not realise or had not tried Page up/ down button on histories. Cool. So much easier.  I was probably one of those complaining about this feature at the urser's meeting when all along I could have used Page up/ Down!

Perhaps for future releases and also a selling point maybe a synopsis of all the new possibilities, short cuts, macros, etc maybe there could be a download, flyer or handout listing all those little tweaks you guys implement. Does not need to be large doc. Brief one liner only. If it is something we don't understand we can ask.  There are probably several new functions on 1.4 that I know nothing about and could be using?

ie

  • Page up / down function when veiwing history.
  • End / home take you to last page / first page of history
  • CTRL / F11 makes  Flat white coffee
  • Alt / F11 make white tea with 1/2 suger
  • etc

Perhaps there is such a document that I dont know about??
