Generating New client lists???

Hi Tony,
One more quick question. Does OpenVPMS have the ability to generate new client lists at the end of the month so we can direct marketing and welcome letters to these clients???

Also is there ability to generate reports of what client spend over a certain period (eg spend more than say $500 over a period of time) so we can concentrate and direct marketing towards the and good clients????

Cheers

Re: Generating New client lists???

Hi Cameron,

In version 1.2 which you will be using there is no stored creation date so the only way you can do New Customer queries and letters is to use first visit or transaction dates.

Version 1.3 has a createdDate field for Customers and Patients and two new reports "Customer Acquisition" and "Patient Acquisition" which can be found on the web site.

In order to make use of either mechanism to print letters directly You can utilise Open Offices direct query mechanism to the OpenVPMS database. It does require some knowledge of the database if you want to set this up yourself. Depending on your database query experience your mileage will vary. Alternatively you can ask n external OpenVPMS implementer to set this up for you ....

The same applies to the customer spend requirement .. A report could be readily written or for direct letter generation as above ...

Cheers Tony

Generating New Client Lists

Sandra @ Bellarine

Hi Tony,

I just had a look at the customer acquisition report which I will use for sending out Welcome Packs to new clients.  I feel I would have to check each client on this list before sending anything out just in case the animal was euthanaised.  This isn't very time efficient.

Is it difficult to have a tick box option "only include clients with active patients" or do you have any suggestions of another way to do this?

Sandra.

Re: Generating New Client Lists

Hi Sandra,

Think this is a good idea.

I have modified the report to have an option to only list customers with active patients. I will load the report onto the web site some time today.

Cheers Tony
