Ideas for 1.6
Hi Tony
I know that you are trialing 1.6 but I had a few ideas and not sure if too late or too hard to implement or just silly.....
1. It would be good to have the weight of the patient easily accessible when doing estimates and also have the estimate linked to a vet so we can see who did the estimate
2. When we are looking at a patients history in summary. where there are a number of pages and we are not sure which page we want we need to scroll down, then up and then click on next page. Is it possible to have the icon to move pages at the top and bottom?

In our practice, the staff person doing the estimate puts their initials in brackets in the title, eg "Dental Procedure (AP)".

People, you need to raise these issues rather than just work around them. That way we fix them and you have a better time using the software.
The Clinician field will be available for estimates in 1.6.

We also think seeing the patients weight whilst doing an estimate would make life a lot easier.

This could be applied to both estimations and invoices.
Do you think that having the reminders displayed is useful? Would you like to see the alerts as well?

While we are at on age related stuff...is it possible to change the age display to sure the actual DOB as well...My reasoning is assuming you have an accurate DOB its always nice to be able to tell a client that 'today'/'next week' etc is the dogs birthday and have a laugh over it in consult...right now the Only place the DOB is displayed is in the animal info screen.
we could change the age display to say : 12yrs(30/9/2000) or even something like
12yrs
(30/9/2000)
You get the idea. Display this in the patient info on the left column as well as other places.

I've created a new project for this at http://www.openvpms.org/project/add-date-birth-patient-summary
In the mock-up I've added a separate "Date of Birth" field; if it is displayed next to the Patient Age it takes up too much space.

Hi,
While fiddling with estimates would it be possible to have an option to choose the vet doing the invoicing when you 'invoice' an estimate so you do not have to either fill in or change the vet fields on the resulting invoice to the appropriate vet.
Also would it be possible when you have made an invoice for a procedure to have an option to copy/save this as a template for future use.
