Multiple Referrals (one preferred)

Hi,

I'm pretty sure there used to be a reason why there was a maximum of 1 active referring vets for a patient, but I'm wondering if it's possible to now have >1 active referring vets but have one as the preferred (which shows up on the patient summary side bar)?

We find more and more patients see multiple other clinics (ie radiation specialist in Sydney + their local GP clinic in Melbourne).

We'd like all referring vets to appear in the drop down for email address when sending update letters, but the default to be the one ticked 'preferred'.

Is that possible, or does it cause issues with other users systems?

I think the main issue with multiple referrals is likely to be one of reporting e.g. ensuring that the correct referral is displayed when creating referral letters.

Perhaps having one designated as preferred?  Allowing the referral hospital to still send emails to the other practices.
