new graphical demonstration

Just checked out the new graphical scheduler - very nice, i like the automatic blocking off of multiple appointment times alot!
I was wondering though, at my clinic we do tend to have clients that prefer particular vets. With the graphical scheduler any notes that are written re the appt, which for us includes the preferred vet to see do not appear as eye catching, rather as something that needs to be moused over. This is fine for notes and such, but will it be possible to have the preferred vet initials to show up without needing that mousing over?

Thanks :-)

Notes in new scheduler

Hi Grey,

Using the single schedule view will show notes.  As viewing notes readily is important for specific reasons in our clinic and given all our appointments have notes, we will probably need to use the combined schedule views as more of a summary tool. Consulters will need to work off a single schedule view.

There looks to be a fair bit of space available in those appointment boxes. Any chance of editing the definition of what populates those boxes on a site by site basis?

Whilst playing with this and using the single schedule view I've noticed that it is difficult to tell what appointment is selected as it does not change the font style like it does in the multiple schedule view.

Matt

RE: new graphical demonstration

Hi,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

In the appointment you can select a preferred clinician and the graphical scheduler does allow you to setup different colours for clinicians and has a drop down selector to choose the type of highlighting you want when viewing the schedules. i.e. appointment type, clinician or appointment status. Currently it defaults to Appointment Type (We have had a request to allow the default highlight to be selected by View as well).

It wouldn't be difficult to add the vets initials to the displayed text if everyone thought this was required as well ?

Cheers Tony

Double booking in new scheduler

Is the double booking option meant to be dissallowed? If you insist when asked it creates another column for that schedule (example on 25th November 2008).

RE: Double booking in new scheduler

Hi Matt,

You can disable double booking in each schedule by deselecting the "allow double booking" field in the schedule information.

Cheers Tony
