[OpenVPMS Developers] [JIRA] Created: (OVPMS-957) Add SMS appointment reminders

Add SMS appointment reminders -----------------------------

Key: OVPMS-957 URL: https://openvpms.atlassian.net/browse/OVPMS-957 Project: VPMS Web Application Issue Type: New Feature Components: Workflow Affects Versions: 1.5 Reporter: Matt Costa Assignee: Tony De Keizer

This comes from a forum discussion here http://www.openvpms.org/forum/courtesy-sms-reminders-future-appointments

It will require the successful funding and development of the SMS Project - The First Steps, before it can completed.

The idea was to have the same "SMS Customer" button that is proposed for the Customer summary, on appointments in the Scheduler. The schedule for a future day could be opened and a user send SMS's to each customer giving them a courtesy message about the appointment. The body of the courtesy message could be stored in a text macro but it would need to reference the appointment details it was attached to.

eg. "This is a courtesy SMS from Happy Valley Vet Clinic to remind you of Fluffy's appointment at 9am on the 25th of March. Please call the clinic on XXX-XXXX if you need to reschedule. This phone will self destruct in 10 seconds..." or something similar.

Still needs some implementation discussion, as there is some overlap with OVPMS-951.
