Order of notes in letters

Hi,

Not sure if this is an easy fix, but we are having a small issue with our letters.

If multiple notes from different days are put in a single visit, the order at which the notes print in a letter is jumbled (even though it's chronological in the medical records).

If we print the same visit in patient medical records summary, the order is correct.

The report we use for the letter looks like (let me know if screenshots aren't ok - I can attach the documents)

The report we use for the patient medical record summary looks like:

Re: Order of notes in letters

Greta - humm - this is my blunder.  Here is the problem:

You can see that there is only one sort field, itemOrder, used to put the notes first, then the investigations then the medications.

What we need to do is to add a second sort field (target.startTime) to get these items sorted by date/time.

First click the Dataset & Query icon at the top (1), then press Add to add the target.startTime field, then OK

Now we should get all the notes with the first (oldest) at the top, then all the investigations, then all the medications again with oldest at the top.

Thanks so much Tim. I've followed your instructions and fixed it :)

Re: Order of notes in letters

Thanks for that explanation Tim,

That itemOrder expression has provided an elegant solution for some of our older letter templates.

Cool!
