Printed flag doesn't indicate when a document has been printed

I might have something wrong here but when we print a document, the Printed flag does not update to say it has been printed.

Behaviour is:

1. Add doc (say form)

2. Print from selected document in Documents

Confirmed (1.9 7356) - does not get set for a patient document. Does get set for an invoice.  Regards, Tim G

PS Matt - what do you use this for? With invoices, it is (optionally) used in statement printing - but with patient documents, to see the print flag, you have to edit the document.

Hey Tim,

Use cases for the printed flag is;

- Patients->Documents->Users checking they actually have clicked Print. Cos the user typically has the Document selected, they see the Printed tick box it in the detail section below.

- Customers->Estimates: It appears as a column. We use it to check if the user has used Print and not Finalise for an estimate. (I kinda think the Print button shouldnt appear until after Finalised and then it should be called Reprint). The idea of printing would lock a document always appealed to me.

Not a big issue for us tbh :-)

Matt

PS. Love your documentation. Just brilliant.

In Tim G's Estimate templates included in 1.9, it will indicate if an Estimate was printed before being finalised. This is done via a bold DRAFT label, as shown below:

I've raised the print issue as OVPMS-1864
