Jim - Ben beat me to it.  One other wrinkle: since the templates can be set on a practice location basis, you can in fact have two document templates in the system of type 'Patient Visit'.

Let us say that you have two templates of type 'Patient Visit' in the system, one named say 'Patient Clinical Event - wp' that shows the prices and one that does not named say 'Patient Clinical Event - np'.

You then add the template 'Patient Clinical Event - np' to the Practice Templates (using the Templates tab in Administration|Organisation|Practice|edit) - this then becomes the default template where no Patient Visit template is specified for a practice location.

If you have not currently got a practice location that you use for administrative stuff (that the ordinary staff do not use) create a practice location called say 'Admin', and add the template 'Patient Clinical Event - wp' to this practice location.

Now if anyone prints medical records from any practice location other than Admin, they get no prices. If you set the practice location to Admin, and print medical records, then you will get prices.
