Nick has mentioned this before. If I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong Nick), he envisions a spreadsheet type format where products of different types can be listed, filtered and then edited, either one by one or in batch.

The idea would be that every product feature/property could be batch or singly updated.

Some utlities of this workspace would be;
- Batch price updating limited by filters
- Batch renaming
- Changing product types
- Adding product identities

The area could be very diverse in terms of what functionality it may contain. The Product description is so detailed in OpenVPMS that a woprkspace involved with grioup editing could become very intensive very quickly. But even if we just aim for a limited number of commonly applied Product manipulations to begin with it might be a great start.

It would be great if people contribute;
a) What Product changes would they like to make within this workspace?
b) What sort of filtering would they like to apply?
c) How would they like the batch actions to be documented or reported?

Once there is a bit of momementum I will craete an active development project and we can set some timelimes!
