Product report

Hi All,

I am sure this is simple but I wanted to be able to do a report on individual item. I can not seem to make the product list report work - was never really show how to fill in the fields when we originally were trained. Is there a handout that can help here?

Cheers,

Glen

Product Report

HI Glen,

What information did you want to pick up on the product? eg: Sales in a period?

Sandra.

Re: Product Report

Thanks for the reply Sandra,In this instance we wanted to report on a product over a certain period & exactly which clients were invoiced for this. Then we wanted to do a report to generate a list of email addresses that we have on file to be able to send email newsletters to clients. Product report

Hi Glen,

To get a printed report of product sales with customer details you will need to use the "Customer Product Sales" report.  If you need only a specific product then you can enter all or part of the product name in Product filter. If you  only want a partial match then put a % at the end i.e Amox% will list each product who's name starts with Amox and for each product details which customers purchased the product in the nominated period.

For the email Newsletters you need to utilise the "Customer Activity Export" report.  This report allows you to nominate a sales period and product range as before but the output has been designed to generate a csv data file that you can use for bulk mail merging.  It includes distinct fields for title, surname, firstname, address, suburb, postcode, state, email address (if they have one) and the last sale date.  You can utilise this file in Word, Open Office or a number of applications to email your Newsletter.

Cheers

Tony

Re: Product report

Hi Tony,The Customer Product Sales Report worked a treat. I have also added the Customer Activity Export Report to our program & can generate a .csv file with ease. Just wanted to know about some directions on how to utilise this spreadsheet information to allow us to mail merge or pull out the email addresses to allow emailing of newsletters? Is there an instruction handout on this? Cheers,Glen On 26 August 2010 08:28, <tony@openvpms.org> wrote:
