Reminders failed to update

Today after all our reminders had printed and emailed I received and error message after clicking on Update. The error message read 'Failed to save object. It may have been changed by another user'.

I thought if I generated the reminders again and but said NO to printing the listing, NO to printing the reminders cards and NO to sending the emails I would then get to update the reminders at the end. (we could cancel the actual printing in our old system but still update the reminders).

I said no to printing the listing and to printing the cards. I did not get the option to say no to sending the emails so they went out again. At the end I clicked on update and it still has not updated the reminders.
What are my options here, I thought I could maybe generate them again and say yes to printing the reminders and then cancel the actual print job as I've already printed them. The problem with this is the email reminders will go again. Any suggestions?

Sandra.

Re: Reminders failed to update

Hi Sandra,

Not much unfortunately. A weakness in the interface if you happen to experience an error during the generation of the reminders as the update reminders button is skipped and you have to generate again to get access.

Really need to add a JIRA to separate these functions so you can do an update for the current reminder list independently from the generation. Maybe we can do this at the same time as developing the new grouped reminders.

Cheers Tony

Re: Reminders failed to update

Hi Tony,  I think this would be great to include with the grouped reminders. I think the error is rare (haven't heard of this before) but I can see situations where a clinic may SKIP the update and want to come back to it... :)  Cheers :)  Gerrie   Gerrie Cooney BSc Business Development Consultant  Essentia Consulting
