Search options

And another question while I'm at it!!

We often have promotions with Royal Canin and Hills offering discounts on specific food items - eg: this month it is 20% of Hill's z/d and Hill's d/d

We want a way to identify which of our clients are on Hill's z/d, d/d, etc, so that we can target them directly by phone, email, etc - when the promotion occurs.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to run a report like this?

Cheers,

Amanda.

Re: Search options

Hi Amanda,

Have you tried the Patient Activity Export report.  It allows you to filter by lots of criteria including product type, product and sales date range and provides a output suitable for export to excel so you can utilise in a letter merge external to OpenVPMS.  You can utilise wild card type searches as well.  So for example if you want to just find Hills products you can enter Hills% in the product filter.

Cheers

Tony

Re: Search options

Hi Amanda and Tony,

We have also used Product->Classifications in the past to grab groups of products.

For example;

Say we want to grab all our eye medications. Becuase they have various names the technique of using the name doesn't work so well. But if all the eye medications have a common Classification (Defined in Administration->Lookups->Product Group) then you can grab them as a group.

I am not aware of a report that currently does this (filter by Classification) for Products but it could be appended onto the Patient Activity Export Report Tony has linked in his reply.
