Upgrade to version 1.6.2

We recently upgraded to version 1.6.2 since start of year, just wondering why an upgrade should go backwards. When in consult and finishing up can't go straight to charges, if an animal has been in the same month and comes back for a revisit, consult goes under first date and there is alot of mucking around to get it right.  I would be interested to know if anyone else is experiencing these with this version.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

Are you doing a Check-In prior to performing the new Consult?

There was a bug in 1.6.2 where consulting from a task would add a duplicate visit, but it sounds like you are seeing something different. Can you explain your steps?

With regards to the consult, you can go to the charges using the keyboard shortcut Alt-2.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

Hi Tim

It's not adding a duplicate visit, when an animal comes in for a revisit in the same month, we check it in as normal, go through the steps, we do skip waiting room or hospital if animal not going to go into hospital. Finding that when we have completed a consult & paid for, when we go back into medical records still has progress and that is where we are having problem.  We manually have to go back and complete visit and put in date completed. Then make a new visit reason, then new weight, then new note, otherwise puts it all back under previous consult. This is the best I can explain it. Sorry.

Regarding the shortcut Alt-2, doesn't work.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

Just to be clear, there is a prior Visit that is In Progress, and when you do the subsequent Check-In, the Weight and Note records are added to this Visit rather than a new one?

If so, are you doing the Check-In from an Appointment or a Task? If a Task, when was the Task created?

With regards to the Alt-2 shortcut - this is used to switch to the Invoice tab in the Visit editor (i.e. the "Edit Visit" dialog), which is displayed when you do a Check-In or Consult.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

Hi Tim

The prior visit has been finalised and paid for, but when you go into medical summary comes up as in progress still.

We mainly use the check in from the appointment schedule, not the the task.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

If there is an existing In Progress Visit, that is dated up to a week prior to the current appointment, it will be used.

If the prior Visit is Completed, a new Visit will be created.

In 1.7, Visits are marked Completed when you perform Check-Out, so a new Visit will be created when you do another Check-In from an Appointment.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

We do complete consult through check out so they can pay but for some reason when you go back to medical summary later still saying in progress.

Re: Upgrade to version 1.6.2

Yes - that's a limitation of OpenVPMS 1.6.x. In OpenVPMS 1.7, the Visit will be marked Completed at the completion of the Check-Out workflow.
