The setup for generating vaccination and desexing certificates is the same.

1. create a Document Template containing the certificate
2. link the Document Template to the relevant product.

If you have loaded the standard templates, there is are samples available for each in Administration - Documents - Templates, named Vaccination Certificate and Desexing Certificate respectively.

If not, you can create them manually.

Once complete, each time the products are charged, a Patient Form will be added to the patient history. By default, these will print at Check Out.

Creating a certficate

Create a new Document Template in Administration - Documents - Templates
 

1. Fill out the Name and Description fields
2. Set the Type to Patient Form
3. In the Content field, click Upload, and then Browse. Enter the location of the certifcate.
   The samples are available in the reports\Patient\Documents\A4 directory of the OpenVPMS installation.

   For vaccinations, use Vaccincation Certificate.odt. For desexing, use Desexing Certificate.odt.

4. Click OK

Link the template to a product

Assuming you already have a vaccination product,

1. edit it
2. go to the Documents tab and click Add
3. in the New Product Document enter the name of the vaccination certificate
4. click OK

Repeat for your desexing product.
