Vaccination Certificates - Need for Batch Numbers & Vet Registration Number
Submitted by annaplatt on Mon, 27/02/2012 - 11:18
Good Morning - first time user, have just come over from Vetware. Lots of good things with OPEN but must admit there are some things that have surprised us a bit.
I have just been on the Vic Board web site for a DE course about record keeping that said we need to have on our vaccination certificates both the Vaccine Batch Number and Vet Registration Number. Are there any plans to update Vaccine Certificates?
Thank you, Anna Platt, Middle Brighton Vet
Re: Vaccination Certificates - Need for Batch Numbers & Vet ...
Hi Anna,
I suppose firstly we will need a place to record this information. Once recorded it can then be referenced anywhere in the certificate. As you can manage the format of certificates it should be just a matter of updating your template with the new merge field.
With batch number just need to work out best way of capturing and storing the information when the form is created during product entry. Will need user input on this one and maybe some development. Simplest without development is to add a new field to the PatientForm entry for th ebatch number but you would need to edit this manually. If you want to be prompted for it when the certificat eis generated then we will need to do some development.
For Vet Registrtaion number wouldn't this be easiest handled by putting this number at the end of the clinician Name (in Administration -> users) and then just using clinician.entity.name field on the form ?
