Hi Jim,
The alert system will undergo some changes in Version 1.5 according to the project

In this revision alerts have been replaced with text labels so that;
a) Multiple alerts can be clearly seen.
b) The alerts can be user customisable as to text and colour.
c) Alerts are listed according to a priority.
d) More detailed alert info is available by clicking the alert is clicked. Specifically it will display the "description" (eg. "Level 1 Account" alert displays dialog "Bad Debt / Do not extend any credit to this customer whatsoever."
Icons were discussed but funding for the icon option was never acheived.
In this light it may be possible to have reminder alerts display with some conditional, such as different colours for due and overdue or it might be possible to get the due date as part of the alert text or popup text.

Hey Jim,
Before I misrepresent the situation too much (oh dear), reminders aren't actually part of the alert project.
I kinda meant the conditional changes based on due date that you described could be subject to a similair sort of solution. Hope I didn't give false hope.
It is a great suggestion. What do others think?
a) A set of different icons for reminders?
OR
b) Text saying "Due", "Overdue"
OR
c) Text with the reminder name and different colours for "Due" or "Overdue" status?
