[Workflow Module]Creating Schedules

I have just started to familiarise myself with openvpms and unfortunately have stumbled at the first block! Under Workflow- Scheduling no options seem to appear. How do I create main appointment schedules, surgery schedules etc. Cheers, Rhys

Don't worry sorted it out! Rhys

Re: Creating Schedules

Well done Rhys, this is the place to ask. In fact if you have a moment, it may be worth describing what you have done so that you can contribute to the knowledge base that will make this a valuable community resource. For anyone else looking for more information on how to complete certain tasks, there is a steadily growing list of howto's, video tutorials and written materials in the Documentation section of our website (check the green menu bar above). How to add new schedules

Once you understand how the system works it is quite easy to add elements such as extra schedules for branch practices, surgery/ultrasound schedules etc. Under Admin - Organisation select schedule from the drop down menu and click NEW, then simply fill in the details; the option will then appear in your workflow lists

Stumbled again!

Having just dais how easy it is to use I am stuck again...... When trying to add an appointment to a schedule I can't seem to add an appointment type. I have been through admin to add the various types eg surgery, consult etc. but these options will not appear when I go to add an appointment. the result is the following error "Failed to validate null of Act Customer: Customer is required" Have tried a few things but am struggling so any suggestions would be appreciated, Rhys

Re: Creating Schedules

Hi Rhys, I'm no expert on this but under adminstration, organisation look for the schedule you created, select it, edit it and add the appointment types you want to be associated with that schedule. Does that help or am I missing the mark completely? Peter

Re: Creating Schedules

Hi Guys, Rhys, Peter is correct, you need to associate the appointment types with the schedule and enter the slots each appointment type will take on that schedule. This is done when editing the schedule on the Appointment Types tab. You can also nominate one of the appointment types as default so it is selected automatically when a new appointment is added. The message you are receiving is due to you not selecting a customer and the appointment needing one..... i.e it is mandatory to have a customer Cheers Tony

Re: [Workflow Module]Creating Schedules

Hi there,

I've added more "schedules" to the Workflow Scheduler. I'm having trouble putting them in order (columns). Most I can move by the "move up, move down" button but the "schedule" at the top of the list won't budge. Is this a glitch? Or do I need to delete & re-enter?

Cheers!

Cheryl

Re: [Workflow Module]Creating Schedules

Sounds like a bug. Try removing the schedule from the schedule view and re-adding it, and then move it into the correct position.

Tim
