Customer Invoice Item

Wondering if anyone else has had this happen or has any idea what has happened.

Today when invoicing a client one of the medications has come up as a customer invoice item in the patient summary rather than a medication.

We have invoiced this item previously so I believe the setup is correct.

Any ideas would be great,

Where a medication is charged and no label generated ....it will post to the patient summary as an invoice item.

 

When a label or dispensing occurs you will see it as a medication on the summary.

I charge injections (eg Betamox, Baytril) without generating a label and the item appears on the patient summary as a medication.

In my version if I charge a medication and delete the label...so there is nothing in the dispensing tab it appears as an invoice item.

What you have said is how things work in our system.

It was Metacam inj so has been used many times prior to this strange occurence and many times since.

I was trying to work out what we had done to get this end result.

A Medication record will always appear in the patient history when a medication product is charged, unless it is explicitly deleted.

If it is deleted, the Customer Invoice Item that charged the product will be displayed instead.

This is not related to the display of a New Medication dialog (aka dispensing label), which is enabled by selecting "Dispensing Label" in the corresponding medication product.

You can delete the Medication from the:

  • Dispensing tab in the Invoice editor; or
  • Patient Summary
