Document attached to Patient summary or Patient documents
Submitted by bellvet on Fri, 06/02/2009 - 11:32
I have a document that is attached to a fee as I want it to be printed when that fee is billed. However, I do not need this document attached to the patient history, in fact we do not want it there. How do I still get the document printed when the fee is billed but not have it attached to the patient history?
Re: Document attached to Patient summary or Patient documents
No. When a document is added automatically when you bill out a fee it needs to be stored somewhere attached to the patient so it can be subsequently printed directly or during the checkout process.
This also maintains a history of documents provided to the patient and allows for reprints etc. Can you explain why you would not want this to happen ?
If not required you can obviously delete ...
Cheers Tony

Hi Tony,
The document we print is a once off customer survey attached to the 12wk C5 vaccination. I had a request from BVP management for it not to be stored on hx's as it takes up room and uses up memory and a record of it being printed is not required. I understand what you're saying though and I'm happy.
