LibreOffice and Input Fields

Hi All,

Has anyone been able to get input fields working on patient/customer letters using LibreOffice? I understand that OpenVPMS will prompt for any input fields it encounters. If that's correct, then I'm thinking it may not work w/ LibreOffice running on the backend, or perhaps with LibreOffice formatted ODF/ODT files. Any experiences out there?

Thanks, Paul

Re: LibreOffice and Input Fields

I've discovered a little more about this. It turns out that it's all working properly if adding a patient letter from the medical records screen. In this case however, I've linked the patient letter to a product. When adding the product to an invoice, I expected the input fields to pop up. Is that the intended operation?

Thanks, Paul

Re: LibreOffice and Input Fields

Hi Paul,

I mentioned this in another post just recently.

The current implementation of Immediate printing during charges does not prompt for these fields unfortunately.  Agree would be very beneficial to do so. Not currently sure how easy or hard to do.

Cheers

Tony

Ahh, okay. I see. Thanks for the confirmation.

Re: LibreOffice and Input Fields

Hi Paul,

Tim has created a JIRA for the issue and estimated the time required to improve (https://openvpms.atlassian.net/browse/OVPMS-1074 ).  Currently documents linked to products are all processed on commit of an invoice.  This will need to change to prompting immediately.

Cheers Tony
