Mergefields

Hi,

Can someone please advise where I have gone wrong - I have copied these mergefields from a working reminder but when emailed they are not converting client/patient details.

Any Suggestions? - thanks

Nick

Re: Mergefields

Hi Nick,

Where are you placing these merge fields ?

If you are placing them in the Templates email subject and email body fields then this will not work.  They do not currently support merge fields.

Cheers

Re: Mergefields

Hi Tony,

The mergefields are within an OO document template which is then automatically attached to the email as a pdf document when you ask to resend the reminder (I am testing email reminders by using our practice cats file).

The OO reminder document has been generated by copying a working reminder and editing the mergefields as appropriate from the mergefields document in the shared resources area.

Not sure if maybe it has not been inserted as a mergefield??

Thaks, Nick

Re: Mergefields

Hi Nick,

If you just added these new fields directly into the document then you may have issues.  You need to make sure the fields are defined in the Fields list in the document.  Goto Insert ->Fields and check on the Variables tab under User Fields.  If they are not in this list then add them and then use the Insert button to add them to the document.

Cheers
