New Phone Contact - Preferred

Hi
Does anyone have any information regarding the issue of adding a new phone contact for a Customer and it auto ticks Preferred.
This is causing some issues in clincs where staff have forgotten to untick preferred after adding additional numbers and they end up with more than one preferred.
SMS question: if you have more than one Preferred phone contact with SMS allowed - which phone number will the SMS be sent when its a reminder SMS.

Its the default behaviour to change it create a custom archetype
and change the preferred node to default to false().
Same for the sms.

What version are they running? There were changes in 1.8 (OVPMS-1615) to prevent multiple preferred contacts of the same type.
If multiple contacts have SMS enabled, it will select the contact that was created first. The creation order cannot be determined directly however, so you would need to change the contact.phoneNumber archetype to show the Start Date node (i.e. set hidden=false and readOnly=true).
