Online bookings - Pawsapp

Hi OpenVPMS community,

I was looking at an online booking platform called Pawsapp. They are not currently integrating with OpenVPMS but are looking into that option. I would like another online booking option apart from Petyeti and Vetstoria. Pawsapp are based in Melbourne and just starting up. I would love the option to support a small Australian company but wondering how I can push that along. Is there a project that needs to be donated to or is it just a matter of behind the scenes negotiations ?

Thanks,

Stephen R

Re: Online bookings - Pawsapp

Hi Stephen,

We had some communication with PawsApp and provided them with our Online Booking APi documentation so they can build their side of the Integration.  Hopefully they can develop it quickly and bring to market as it is is always good to have multiple Integrations in this space.  :-)

Cheers
Tony

Re: Online bookings - Pawsapp

Not sure if anyone else is interested - but I did build an Online Booking plugin that integrates with OpenVPMS using the WordPress website platform.  It communicates from your website to your practice - no third-party server is necessary so you maintain control of your data.

It should work quite nicely with the 2.4 Firewall API that will be helpful with configuration but it's useable on OpenVPMS 2.1 and upwards.

You can find it here www.charltonit.com.au

Sorry if this is self-promotion but I think most will find this cheaper than some of the other options and potentially with a much greater flexibility in configuration.

Caveats - yes there is a fee once you start using it - yes you need to use WordPress on your website. and yes there is a learning curve.  But I can assist with setup on the website if you cant work it out.

You can install the plugin for free and set it up and test it.
