Printing multiple copies of a patient form

I have created a vaccination certificate for litters of puppies. Is it possible to have it prompt for how many copies are to be printed rather than having to press print x times?

Re: Printing multiple copies of a patient form

Hey Matt, What about a Print Quantity just in the Interactive dialog? That way no prompt for invoices, receipts etc or those with "Interactive" not ticked.

As a side note, we don't use OpenVPMS for non-merged documents because they get added to our database. Despite all documents getting compressed and not really adding much of an overhead except when backing up, they do add to the bulk of data. We just use a central repository of documents in a network folder.

Printing multiple copies of

Thanks Matt,

It is actually a merged document but has a modified data set compared to the normal vaccination template and blank fields for manually inserting some items such as sex, and microchip number.

What I ended up doing was "previewing" the file which downloaded it as a pdf and then printed multiple copies of the pdf using the workstation.

Being able to print multiple copies directly from OpenVPMS would be better though. Is the interactive dialogue you were referring to the dialogue that allows printer selection or preview pictured below?

print dialogue

I feel that that would be the logical place for it to appear- an input field called number of copies which by default has 1 copy selected.

Hey Matt Y, Yeah that's the dialog I was thinking of. Seems a logical addition. Will create project and plan to JIRA in a week.

Anyone have anything to add to this feature or the print dialog while we are at it?

Printing Multiple copies

This feature (www.openvpms.org/project/printing-multiple-copies-document) has had a JIRA created  (jira.openvpms.org/jira/browse/OVPMS-907) and is awaiting estimation.
