vaccination reminders
Submitted by hillsvet on Mon, 10/10/2011 - 14:58
Hi,
just noticed on all vaccinations reminders, when clicking on the red bell on the animals file to see when their next vacc is due, the date is correct but the product lists what vaccination they just had, not what they are due for next year. This is an issue for puppies & we use the 3 yr vacc for dogs, so has created some confusion.
Is this because of the way we have set it up, and can it be changed to show what vacc they are due for?
Another question I have is whether it is possible to change our services to show on the summary of an animals history. At the moment, we can only see services if we look on the charges.
Thanks for your help,
Kerry
Re: vaccination reminders
I'd noticed that as well.
I got around that by having multiple product entries for vaccination so that the last vaccination in the puppy group was named annual (or in your case triennial) vaccination (http://sunshinevet.com.au/openvpms/images/vax_prod.jpg) , eg
6-8 weeks: Product/Service: "Temporary C3 Vaccination"; Reminder set at 4 weeks;
12 weeks Product/Service: "First C5 Vaccination"; Reminder set at 4 weeks;
16 weeks Product/Service: "C5 Annual Vaccination"; Reminder set at 1 year.
Even more fun with cat vaccinations with choice of F4x2 or x3 or F4x2 plus FIVx3 in all combinations (because we charge for all cat vax up front - improves owner compliance no end!).

EDIT: if I "preview" my message, then re-edit, all cursor keys work properly. So I suppose a work-around is: write one word, preview and then finish message with keys working as they should!)
Re: vaccination reminders
Hi Kerry and Yuri,
As far as I am aware Kerry, there is no change a user can make to have Services appear in the medical record. The only things that appear in the medical record are those products that have an associated patient label.
What appears in medical records and how is the subject of the http://www.openvpms.org/project/integrated-visit-editor discussion. This is going to be highlighted at the Victorian Users Meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) at Kensington (plug for Users meeting completed).
And Yuri, your arrow blues when editing a post for these forums are shared by me. Are you using Firefox? Sometimes (just sometimes) I lose arrow control. Up & down arrows scroll my screen, left and right arrows move my focus out of the text box. Thought it was just me :(
