We are currently using a Dymo label printer and having a lot of problems. It seems to print about 50 wasted labels for one good one. Just wondering what everyone else is using and any printers people can recommend.

Hi When we edit the workflow, say we were unsure of the Patients name when making the appointment and we go in later to apply the patients name, we click on the appointment in workflow, click edit and apply patients name. That patients name then goes to the last viewed customer instead of the customer in the workflow. Any way of fixing this???

When finalizing a invoice that has been in the system for a few days is it possible for the Invoice to be dated the day of the visit not the day the invoice was finalized?

Is it possible to change a date only once when entering an invoice on another day? At the monent you need to change the date up to 4-5 times, is there any way of changing it once at the History and that date following through to the reason and invoice? If you forget to change only 1date it becomes very confusing for the client when reading the invoice

Is there potential to develop or is the already a process in place for the following:
On are version of OPEN VPMS when you have the customer page open and you choose EDIT you have the option to select account type (eg Valued, bad debtor, normal etc) and under categories you have an option of choosing Christmas card list and Christmas wine list.

In terms of reporting are you able to generate reports based on these individual categories???? I have tried but can’t work it out???

We would like to be able to search for appointments.

This would help us when we have clients ringing wondering when their next appt is and when we wan't to find out when a particular client is next coming in.

Would any other clinics find this a valuable addition?

As Open VPMS runs on a browser interface would it be possible to use a browser history type section so that you could go back clients you had recently been working on without having to search - it would be easier to click on a recently accessed tab and choose the client than go through select again. This would be useful where we are interrupted by a phone call etc, change clients and then want to go back again. I know we can have multiple tabs open but usually we don't except on reception. Anyone have any thoughts?

We are finding a number of clerical errors where clients and / or patients have been added twice. I know we can change ownership of the patients but this will create 2 pets of the same name in the client file with their individual histories.

Is there a set way to merge these patients and histories and can you also merge the clients so their accounts merge or can you only attach patient to one and deactivate the other?

A recent case had a duplicated client and patient file but somehow the client numbers were the same???

On our client surveys that print out automatically (they are word documents not open office) the first line of the merged client details sits where I want it to, but 2nd and 3rd line print to the left.

I want the 2nd and 3rd line to print in line with the first as then it fit's nicely into a windowface envelope. I have attached a screenshot of the original document with the merge fields and the merged document.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how to prevent lines 2 & 3 from moving to the left?
