Automatic Order Generation project fully funded

The OpenVPMS community wishes to thank a major Australian wholesaler, Vetshare Pty Ltd, for contributing all the funds required to start development of the Automatic Order Generation project.

This new feature will be available in the next scheduled OpenVPMS release, version 1.7.

Best contacts for OPEN VPMS

Hi. I am looking to set up with OPEN VPMS in a new clinic. It is extremely hard to find any contact details of people involved to direct questions to. I know Tony De Keizer is the man. Can someone please advise the best way to get in contact with him so my IT guys can discuss.

thanks Rod

Price listing suggestion/enhancement

Hi,

We've just (manually) loaded the prices again for 2013. As the history of prices accumulates, I'm noticing a possible difficulty in viewing the prices. The default is to sort by price type (name, Fixed or Unit), or by the composit string of price and date. My suggestion is that this list will most likely want to be sorted by two other keys: Price type, and Date. I'm not sure what the best way to accomplish that is, but I would suggest that date is probably the best default key to sort these data. Screenshot attached.

Thanks, Paul

Unable to open openvpms

Hi I set up openvpms with my desktop computer as the server. It has been working well on my 2 laptops for about 3 months. I generally leave the desktop on overnight, just in sleep mode. I recently turned the desktop off completely when I went on holidays.

Since returning, and restarting the desktop computer, I have been able to use openvpms on the desktop (server) computer normally but when I try to open it on the laptops I get the message 'unable to open webpage'.

Re: Appointment Type selection - improveme nt suggestion

Not sure that I agree with your suggestion. Our default appointment type is
"consultation" and that is what we use 90 % of the time.

Other appointment types are "outcalls", "after hours" , "surgery", "Day
off"  and "Holidays"

And that just about does it.

Adobe is Releasing Older Versions of Software For Free

Adobe are GIVING away free copies of their software.
No gimmicks, no tricks.
The catch is that they're not the latest versions by any means but if you've always wanted highly usable Adobe products, here's your chance.

Software available for free (albeit slow at the moment) download includes:

Appointment Type selection - improvement suggestion - WITHDRAWN

I have a fix for this problem - see http://www.openvpms.org/forum/appointment-type-selection#comment-5341  Regards, Tim

I posted the following on the impementor's forum.  Tim A responded "Sounds OK to me. Run it by the user's forum and see if you can get concensus."  Hence this post.  I would appreciate comments.

Re: Vaccine reminder

1 Check the pet and client are not flagged as inactive and the pet hasnt been
accidently marked as deceased

2. Check the reminder that was set .....  and then check its settings under
ADMINISTRATION and then reminder type,

Check the list of reminder ie

0 Day  interval send letter  (check document exists

            30D send 2nd letter

60D print to list. (reception to call)

3.

Vaccine reminder

we had a call today from a client who had not received a reminder - the patients file had the correct reminder dates but for some reason no reminders were generated (sent = 0).

What settings should I be looking for that may have been entered wrongly for this client / patient to fail to get a reminder?

We are concerened how many others we may be missing. I know there is a staistics report for reminders but is there one that runs a check for missed reminders?

Thanks,

Nick
