Adding notes to payments, credits, counter sales and refunds
Appointment Search
ID Search
Print at Invoicing
Seeing dispensing units during invoicing

I have posted this forum topic to prevent spamming everyone with Funding Updates from each project.

The majority of these projects are slated for the 1.5 release so unless you were a contributor you will have to wait until the release is ready. For those of you who funded the projects we will be in touch when testing can commence.

When adding new products I am finding the entry of units very confusing.

Lets say you're adding a 20ml bottle of koagulon injection which will be sold by the ml. You set a unit price and the selling unit is set to mls. Then you add a supplier. To get the unit price to work here you need to set the package size to 20 and the package units to mls (if you set the package unit to bottle the unit price doesn't get updated).

A new project (http://www.openvpms.org/project/user-interface-ideas) has just been created for suggesting user interface improvements. The idea is to suggest little improvements that could be made such as changing tab orders, labelling things that aren't clear, or basically anything that would improve your experience as a user of OpenVPMS.

Is there a way to get my openVPMS merge fields to work in letters? We are currently merging into word documents through the boxes provided in open VPMS letters. Do I have to set up the macros in word separately?

Not sure if this is already in the works or not? Is it possible to have the patients weight in the charges area so that the vets can see the weight when invoicing?

Hi,

A vet supplied me with a word document that had a diagram in it. I loaded the document into a template and printed it from a patient file and it reproduced differently, the lines no longer match the boxes. I have attached a copy of both versions so you can see what I mean. How do I overcome this problem, any ideas?

Not infrequently we get the annoying error where someone has just entered the patient history(notes) after a consult and on apply/ok the whole lot is deleted because 'the file may be in use by another user'. Is it possible to prevent this from happening - either a warning or total lock out of editing by a second user?

Was wondering if in the product info section if there was any was to get it to list the cost price without going into the product.

When you type in the product it brings you up a list (ie if you were to type revolution) the list has "name, description, type, pixed price, unit price," can it also have cost price saving time having to go into each product individually when doing price checking. This would save me so much time.

Hi everyone,
In the Products Name field, the autocapitalisation rules are applied. We use upper case only in this particular field. Is it possible to change our own configuration so autocaps rules don't apply here?
