I have just committed to provide the 1.8 release with improved replacements for the current Stock Reorder Report.  I am considering renovating the other reports in the standard set so as to include where appropriate:

The Context Sensitive Help system provides help for most screens, together with introduction, concepts, and reference sections.

There would seem be a need for a 'How To' section that provides recipes for doing various things so that one can understand what steps are necessary.  As with most documentation, this will be of greater benefit to new OpenVPMS users and new staff at existing user practices.

This isnt really the forum for it, but is anyone else having trouble with Lablink - 

we just had a vetlabstation installed - our lablink software runs on a local workstation....it was working fine pulling down our reference lab results and placing them as a pdf into a directory for upload.

but since then it either doesnt seem to pull them down OR it pulls them down as HL7 but throws conversion errors regarding arldconversion or something.

It does pull accross the local vetlab results ok.

We were just wondering if it was possible to add an "auto-save before logout" feaure.

Currently our logout times are set to 10 minutes. This is to ensure if people walk away from a computer they are logged off and so any one else that logs in does so under their own name. This improves tracking (notes are entered under the correct name), billing (services are billed under the correct vet) and is generally we find a good feature.

We have come across a situation where a product sourced from one supplier has tax, in this case GST, and is tax-free from another supplier.  At present the tax is set only at the practice level.  As I understand  it, setting a product tax will override the product type or practice tax.  However can a 'zero' tax be created to apply to some products, or will this upset any calculations?

We often find ourselves having to go back to merge clients who have been entered twice. This sometimes occurs because staff have not asked clients if they have been to us before, sometimes because patients are presented by the partners who didn't realise the patient has been to us before.

It would be nice to when entering a client if the system alerted you if there were likely duplicates already there (perhaps based on surname, address, phone numbers?). Then asked if you wanted to cancel the entry and continue using the prevuisly entered client?

Has anyone seen this error and what does it mean?  Problem is, if the order can't be sent through the electronic interfacing, there is no fall-back in terms of being able to print it etc !!!!

Macro issues/questions again.

I am trying to insert into our consultation templates either the time of admission or time the visit started

I have tried:

- openvpms:get(date:formatDateTime(/activityStartTime), /reason)

- concat(date:formatDate(/activityStartTime), /reason)

I got the latter working but then had the autoexpand problem again, and then it wouldn't expand at all when I put a $ before the expression.

Any help would be appreciated.

When we use the date selector calendar October 2014 dispays all days as the 4th as per the attached screenshot. 

Is anyone lese experiencing this?
