Just an FYI I thought I'd share.

New Seiko label printers are about $200-300, but I noticed there were a couple of Seiko SLP 450 label printers on Ebay at the moment, used, but only $60 posted.  I bought one last week (it was $55 then) and it arrived yesterday - in "as new" condition and works perfectly; no software (drivers downloadable from http://labelprinters.sii-thermalprinters.com/t/Support%20Software%20and%...) or USB cable, otherwise complete.

This from a computer novice. I'd been operating open vpms for my housecall practice from my laptop fine until the laptop died. Looking at getting a Lenovo thinkpad 11e . It's marketed as a rugged student computer. It has a relatively small processor -- Intel® Celeron® Processor N2930 (2M Cache, up to 2.16 GHz) 

Is anyone else currently using xero as their acounting software and if so do you export your data out of openvpms and into xero?

I would like to be able to export the till balance report or similar and then import it into xero as a new sales invoice in xero. This could either be done line by line with a new invoice for each client or as a bulk eftpos invoice, cash incoice, etc. 

I have attached a sample of the xero csv import format required.

I'm wondering if there is any merge field facility to print the date on each reminder type to reflect when the reminder run was printed?

Much like a  standard letter would be dated, so we are wanting to do this for our reminders also.

Failed to generate report. The subreport is placed on a non-splitting band, but it does not have a rewindable data source.

We have a few macros we use for when we email our daily referral reports to vets however it occured to me that it would be really cool if we could have this pre-filled. There seems to be a mechanism for this for reminders and statements (see the screenshot below).

Would it be terribly difficult to extend this so when we go to email a patient history for example or a referral letter to a vet it drew this information and pre-filled the email subject line and body?

Is there such a report already ? For example could I break down total sales for the quarter Oct 1 to Dec 31 by Product Type and work out the contribution to Total Sales for that period by Nutrition, Merchandise, Vet Service, Pathology - In House, Pathology - External, etc ?

OMG... opening day and I'm being assaulted with questions!  Luckily, they haven't been too hard and I've been able to handle almost all of them (but still really looking forward to closing time!)

I do have one issue, however, that I have spent quite a bit of time on and it has me stumped.  The worklist view is blank when patients are waiting.  It's working in our practice version of OVPMS but not in the production version.  I've gone through and compared configurations item by item but don't see the issue.

Hi, since we updated to 1.7, we have not been able to edit the product description (which we use to document things like which blood tubes the lab needs for particular samples, etc).  Is this still possible with 1.7?
