Proposed change for searching future appointments in 1.8

When searching future appointments for clients and their pets, in version 1.7, the status default is to searching "all" appointments (eg. pending, in progress & complete).  This can be very confusing when searching appointments quickly, particularly if many appointments have been made in the past.

Therefore, in the next version of OpenVPMS (1.8), I would like to suggest having the default status option as "pending" appointment only, with the option of selecting the other options (i.e. complete or in progress appointments etc).

Discount

Hi

I've just started out with openvpms and am having a few issues applying discounts to products.

I've created a discount type .- (10% off for 2x dogs proheart)

In the product (proheart injection) / discount tab I've applied the discount type.

Then when I invoice the proheart the discount is not appearing.

Am I missing something simple?

Cheers

Steve.

Proposed change to Visits for 1.8

Currently visits have a short free-form text field to describe the reason for visit.

When performing Check-In, this is copied from the appointment reason (a lookup).

For 1.8, I'd like to rename Appointment Reason to Visit Reason, and use it to classify both appointments and visits.

The Visit Reason would represent the primary reason the patient is coming in to the practice.

The main reasons for the proposed change are to:

Differences between different prices

What are the functional differences, on a day-to-day use basis, of selling price on merchandise; selling and dispensing price on medication; and fixed and unit price on service, merchandise and medication?

In our old system, we had a bill of material (BOM) which had 1 or more sub-products and also a price for the entire bill (of material). Does this mean we need a template for the sub-products and a price template for the same?

Regards, Mary.

Visit documentation updated

The documentation on visits has been significantly revised to clarify when a new visit is created (and when not).  See http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/1.7/concepts/visits

Fixed prices

Hi,

Just upgraded, looks good. I am updating my prices and for Product: "Cartrophen" we have lots of fixed prices, eg: 1-10kg, 11-25kg etc... with different prices. On the updated version when you go to products to update prices all you see is:

                             Fixed Price............ $89.00

Deleted client

Help!

I just deleted a client in error

Is it possible to get them back?

Prompt for Follow Up Appointment

A vet has requested me to sound out the idea of forcing a prompt at the end of a consult to create a follow up appointment.

What they specifically would like is the ability for the vet when they are finishing a consult to send a message to the receptionist that this patient needs a follow up appointment in 10 days time to recheck the ears for example.

In their mind it would work like this:

- Vet writes their notes and bills

Trial versus full version

We have subscribed, but the log on screen says it is a trial version and asks us to subscribe. The number at the bottom of the screen is OpenVPMS 1.7 (5765). How do we let it know that we have subscribed?

Suggested Addition: Medical Records - Body Chart

Hello all, I am not very familiar with openvpms nor its community and have been asked to do some development work for a local practice. As such, I believe it pertinent that when contributing to a community that discussion is always a good place to begin.

The idea behind this tab is to give a visual tool in recording and locating a patients lumps, abrasions, wounds, etc, and to thus give an easy method of following the issues status and history.

The description is as follows.

Patients - Medical Record

New Tab: Body Chart
