For a fresh install of OpenVPMS we have stock quantities from our stock take. Whats the most expedient method of entering these? I can't seem to find a place to put them.

Can they be uploaded? Do we create a supplier called stock take and receive a delivery from this supplier?

In our old system, we had a cash account which took into account when there was a paid out from the till eg. for paying for freight, stamps, milk etc. How do we deal with this in OpenVPMS when we are balancing the till?

We have been doing stocktake and I was trying to use the following report http://www.openvpms.org/customisation/stock-valuation-report#comment-7680 to get a valuation of stock on hand.

I know this report is intended for an older version of OVPMS. It works on 1.7 but when I run it quite a number of our medications/merchandise items are not included.

Did anyone have a more recent version they might be able to share or a similar report?

So I am struggling to think of a situation where vets/nurses should be able to create an investigation or medications without charging for them?

Ideally the only way an investigation or medication record should be created is if an associated service/product is charged first (in my world at least).

So, my question is... Can I easily prevent people creating new investigations in the medical records summary tab, documents tab?

Just wondering if anyone could offer me some information to this. 

We have a Reminder type set at Booster Vaccination for reminders to be sent to puppy and kittens for their 2nd and 3rd Vaccination. When I go to print these reminders I get the following error

Cannot print reminder. There is no document template for Booster Vacc with a reminder count of 0

I am suggesting a new feature that forces a particular reminder to be forced to print a physical letter to the client as opposed to emailing.

A clinic has suggested that even though some clients request to recieve reminders by email they are not responding to them.  

The suggestion is that through this addition each reminder type template can be set to run normally 

ie print those that need to be printed or email those that need to be emailed.

     I have rather stupidly misplaced a template attachement jasper report for my invoices.  I would like to modify the current attachement which is being used in my OpenVPMS invoice template.

Is there any way to download or access this template attachement.  e.g. Can I easily find out where it is stored in the OPV database?

Lyn has recently had a computer failure on her openvpms system that has resulted in the loss of her old system, but I have managed to recover the hard drive intact.

I was just wondering your advice on the best way to re-setup her new system:

I have all the MySQL files in the original ProgramData folder but not a MySQL-specific backup file so cannot recover via MySQL tools, only via copying of files.
