What has everyone found is the most efficient way to use macros as notes templates?

In the previous practice management software I was using, I had a bunch of templates which I would copy and paste into the relevant text field, then select and change whatever I needed to. E.g. 'BAR, nervous/fearful/excited/calm. HR ??, no murmur or arrhythmia noted. RR ??, lung field auscultation normal. T ??. Oral mucous membranes pink & moist, CRT 1-2 s.'

Current Behaviour

Currently OpenVPMS allows you to view a single schedule / multiple schedules as a day or week view, or it allows you to view worklists as a single or multple view as defined by worklist views and schedules views.  

Proposal:

Just as a heads up Idexx advised me late last week that there had been some issues with the XML files that came with lab results.

I have checked all mine and havent seen any missing - they were reporting that only the first set of XML results got attached to patient files - ie you order CBC and MBA ....if the CBC gets reported first the final MBA results never appear in the XML format.

If you routinely use the results this way you may want to do a quick review of those ones you have recieved and contact idexx if any are missing..

Is anyone using Dragon voice to text for OpenVPMS patient records? Comments?

We noticed today that prescription renewals are being put in the wrong order in the patient's medical record.  We have deleted and re entered the script on the off chance that it was a user error but it is still showing up further up in the medical record - out of date order.  Regular medical notes are landing in the proper place as are routine pet food invoicing.  This seems to be affecting only prescriptions. Possibly a glitch has developed. Thanks for your help

Is there a report I can generate to remunerate Vets for their after hours work.  Essentially needing to pull professional fees from each invoice with an after hours surcharge, exclusive of GST and them times by 50%.

When we have two appointments for one client with two pets with adjacent appointment times (whether consultation or surgery), eg 10:15 and 10:30, the second appointment reminder SMS is not sent when the sender job runs.

The reminder bell on the second appointment turns green to suggest it's been sent, but when we look at Customer | Communications and Alerts only one SMS (the one for the first appointment) is shown as being sent.

This has resulted in clients ringing to confirm if they do in fact have two appointments.

After a patient has been to a referral practice we enter the visit and report by adding a visit and note and changing the date as we usually receive the report the day after the visit, and adding attachment on to the patients medial records.

We are using version 2.3.0.1 and have found since using this version when we edit and change an appt type e.g from standard to short the visit/appt reason changes back to our default reason.

It is ok if you have taken note of the reason but frustrating if you haven't.

I have tried to change the type with no reason set as default and it changes the reason to blank (null)

Wondering if others have experienced this and how they are working around it?
