Following on from the discussion of what we would like to see in version 1.7 I would like to remind you all of the great opportunity that we all have to make these changes happen. The cost of using OpenVPMS is much lower than any comparably functional clinic software but all of us should see the subscription cost as just a proportion of the annual cost. For instance, if we all budgeted on spending an equivalent amount to our annual subscription on supporting the Jira(s) of our choosing, many of these projects would be brought to fruition.

I am wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there is a remedy.

I want to discount an invoice back to $0 but the tax is still sitting at -$0.01 so therefore I get an error message and can not go ahead with the transaction.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,

We see that when invoicing a templated item in 1.6 that the template notes now come on to the patient notes.

Is it possible that when you invoice an estimate that the same could happen?

Also is it correct that when you check in a patient you automatially create an invoice so now when you invoice an estimate you get the message about adding on to an existing invoice?

Just checking we have the process correct.

Hi,

We are wondering how clinics handle no charge visits eg suture removal etc.

In 1.5 we would do the visit and not go thru to any charges so therefore would not end up with a $0 invoice.

In 1.6 with the charges being linked we now have $0 invoices. Do others have this and we need to accept this is the new way or is there another way around it?

Hi all. New user alert.

Can I ask how everyone else is handling triennial reminders? We thought we were clever setting them up so that a triennial vaccine reminder was generated whenever a triennial vaccine was billed, and then an annual for the first and second KC, but no reminder on the third - ensuring that the 3rd reminder was generated 3 years from the C5 NOT 1 year after the last KC. This accounted for the fact that most clients are a month or so late for each vaccine - meaning they could be 6 months late by the time the C3 is due again.

We are new to the software and have quite a bit of trouble with odd happenings. One that occurs sporadically is that multiple copies of the records and invoice are recorded each with a separate visit. It is usually animals which have been added to worklists and sometimes there are further invoice items on more recent copies/visits with a full copy of the previous history from the same day and all invoice items previously billed.

I tried to put this up this afternoon, but now I can't find my post, so apologies if this pops up twice later on!

I have replaced an old, recently deceased laptop. I have set up the remote access program on windows 7 with the 198.whatever number for the clinics login, the same as the last laptop. I can use the laptop remotely inside the building at work, obviously via the wireless network in the building, but can't do it from home over the Internet.

What am I doing wrong?

Just wondering if anyone knew how to get results from Idexx Lablink into the appropriate patient files?  We are able to get all the results from our in house Idexx machine into a folder on our server computer -- how do I then get the files into the histories?  We currently generate a requisition id in OpenVPMS which is then entered into the requisition field on the idexx machine...they then make it to the server ok but I just need a hand with the final step!

I am a new OpenVPMS user, and have a laptop running Windows8.  I have not yet attempted installation - is the current version compatible with Windows8?  Thanks & best wishes -Tam Mengine
