Please wait...

We have several large client files with long list of patients. Generating invoices can take over 10minutes. Making appointments is also arduous. "Please wait..." popup appears between every invoice item, often for several minutes. All other client and patient files appear to run OK.

Is anyone else having this problem? All and any feedback welcome.

Check-in printing of documents

Hi All,Just wanted to see if there was a way of printing Patient Letters at 'Check-in'. At the moment for some reason it is only Patient Forms, and you only have the choice of printing one document anyway. Glen-- Greenvale Animal Hospital

Printing drug labels automatically

Hi,Is there a way to set up medications so that they auto print labels when you hit the OK button (like RxWorks & other programs), rather than have to remember to click the 'Print Label' button?Glen-- Greenvale Animal Hospital

Post vs finalise

We have just completed stock take adjustments and using the finalise button at the bottom of the page and all has gone well.

In stock control adding new receipts there is a similar format but my entry nurse has always finished these by using the 'post' button above the field rather than the finalise button at the bottom of the page. Which is correct and why does post work (or seem to) in stock entry but not adjustment entry finalisation?

New Customer and Patient Export reports

Hi Everyone,

Often I am asked how do we send marketing letters or print address labels to specific customers and or patients based on a range of criteria such as customer classification, patient species, breed, date of birth etc.

Previously it was only possible to print reports through OpenVPMS or go directly to the database via a sql query to extract the data. The former was no use for batch merging and the later was too complicated for your typical user so had to be setup and performed by the local implementer or integrator.

Impending GST changes

Hi Guys,

Sadly the powers that be have decided to up the GST rate on our side of the ditch come the 1st of October.

I have tried replacing the GST lookup (on my testout computer) but in order for a price to be updated to the new
rate I have to edit each product unit price, change it, ok it, then change it back before it updates the GST to 15 %.

I am hoping there is an easier way as with fixed and unit prices thats about 3000 changes to make.

Fingers crossed,

Geoff

Product Type Report

Hi All,Just wondering if a report of sales by Product Type against Vets already exists or if this could be added to the 'shared resources' if it wasn't too much trouble or if anyone else wanted the same. It was one that we used to run on RxWorks weekly or monthly. Glen-- Greenvale Animal Hospital

Price rounding for products

Is it possible to round up product prices to say the nearest 5c, that way we wouldn't end up silly prices when they are automatically updated.

The way that final price is rounded for cash payments works fine but if the prices automatically went to the nearest 5c it wouldn't really be needed.

I was thinking that there may be a way to round the relevant fields in the archetypes???

Label Printers

As our label printer occasionally needs servicing/repairs, we have got a second one. This spare has been placed at reception and added to the server but cannot be seen when trying to add it to the drug label template.
Does it needed to be added to Open VPMS database somewhere?

Stock Control

Last year when we did stock control for EOFY we did a stocktake report counted stock, entered new stock adjustments and posted the resulting page. Everything worked fine.
This year posted stock adjustments are not updating the stock levels - what has changed - are there new steps since last year?

Cheers,

Nick
