Open VPMS release cycle (All users please read)

Hi everyone,

From versions after 1.5, all projects will have a flat overhead fee of $190 per project applied.

This will fund a minor release every 4 features and accelerate the roll out process.

Major releases will be planned at once per year optimistically and will be funded by OpenVPMS as long as this is feasible financially.

Customer & patient alerts - The Popup Option

The idea of having pop up alerts was mooted by users but received limited support. The options put forward by the developers are listed here for user discussion. If there is sufficient interest, I will create a new development project to look at these options specifically.

 

Pop-ups can occur in 3 scenarios. Described below with options within:

Hi All / Tony,

We have a problem with some clients wanting to give us their email address should we wish to contact them, but they do not wish to receive newsletters by email, which we want to be our method for delivering emails. Is there somewhere to record this where it can appear on the Customer Activity Export Report? Or is there a better way of achieving this goal.

Product report

Hi All,

I am sure this is simple but I wanted to be able to do a report on individual item. I can not seem to make the product list report work - was never really show how to fill in the fields when we originally were trained. Is there a handout that can help here?

Project statuses and ordering on the front page of the OpenVPMS website

Hey guys,

You will see a couple of new project statuses in the Development Projects area, "Developer Review" & "Being Developed"

The sequence of new projects goes like this;

1. Under Discussion

2. Developer Review

3. Seeking Funding

4. Being Developed

5. Completed

 

With miscellaneous statuses;

6. Stalled

7. Cancelled

8. Ongoing

 

Using the scheduler for boarding.

 I would like to be able to use the scheduler for our cat boarding. I have tried setting it up but I can't seem to get it setup properly because the bookings go over 24 hours. 

If an enclosure is booked out for say 3 days it will display on the scheduler on the day it's booked in to be booked out all day but on subsequent days does not appear. So, the enclosure appears available.

At present we use a separate excel worksheet for bookings but if I can set this up it would save alot of hassle.

Schedule drop down calendar not updating

Hi,

When staff use the drop down calendar in scheduling and use the arrows to navigate back through previous months the drop down calendar remains at that month. 

eg: It's August we use the drop down calendar to go back to March, we exit the calendar, click the current day button so you are on the current day, keep working, book lots of appointments.  Go back into the calendar hours later and the calendar has remainded at March and has not updated to the current month. I've attached a screenshot so you know where I mean.

Is this a bug?

Quantity breaks

Hi All,

We have a number of items with quantity breaks in our products list, but when invoicing, they do not work (the lowest price only appears as the default every time). Is this a problem with how it is set up or just an option that is not currently available in 1.4. All our products have transferred accross from RxWorks.

Investigations display

Hi,

I have just converted all my Gribbles tests to investigations and they are uploading well. I have a problem now that because they are automatically uploaded, and the archive files only list the results as a string of numbers I have no idea who they relate to without opening the file. If I look in worklists/investigations it only lists the patient names not the client name which, as many have the same patient name is not a help either. I have tried looking for the investigations setup to add a client column but have not found it.

 

Reports

Hi guys,

i was hoping there was a way to print of reports for species seen during a certain time period. we are an exotic practice and are keen to see the percentage of species.

Also is there a way to do a report of which patients we have seen under species type?
