Hello again!

I have a query about authorities. Is it possible to customise authorities? Currently it seems like an 'all or none' phenomenon. We'd like to grant our staff members some authorities, but not others. Eg: be able to remove an item off an invoice, but not an invoice itself. Or not be able to edit products, but not delete a product.

Thanks!

Amanda.

ID Number

Hello,

Wondering if you can help. Is there any way that we can create a field: Client ID on the client page? We would like to issue each client with a unique number for identification purposes (there are too many BB Chans in Hong Kong!)

Many thanks in advance for any help,

Amanda.

Client turnover and reminders

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of existing reports for that supply the following data.

Client turnover - a report that lists all the clients which have not
had an invoice in the past 18 months.

% clients responding to reminders - a report which lists clients which have
been sent a reminder and if they have/have not had an invoice on their
account within a desired timeframe, for example 3 months.

Many thanks in advance if anyone could assist.

Re: Duplex printing

Hi Matt,

When I access the CUPS page for this printer, I get very few options under "set default options" - just banner page options and error policies.

I will try setting duplex with the .lpoptions file (as the tomcat6 user on server) as described here: http://www.lbl.gov/IT/CIS/dp/cups-lpoptions.html

Duplex printing

Hi,

I have bought a nice networked Brother laser that does duplex printing. It works well as our default invoice printer, and does single-sided printing via our Ubuntu/Openvpms server.

The printer can print duplex when we select it in the printer options for an individual document (eg .odt or .pdf) from a workstation or when logged directly into the server. However, I cannot find an option in Openvpms or in the CUPS layout for duplex printing. I would like to set duplex as default for all documents.

Discounting

Hello,

I have a query about adding discounts to invoices in VPMS.

How do I add a discount to an invoice and have the discounted amount
show up on the printed invoice?

However I don't want invoices WITHOUT any discount to display a $0.00
discount on the invoice (Ie. currently if we don't add a discount to an
invoice the invoice states: You have been given a discount of $0.00).

Many thanks in advance for your help!
Amanda.

Query

Hi,

I am a new VPMS user and am just trying to figure a couple of things
out! Sorry in advance...software is not my strong point.

With regards to patients that are 'in hospital' for several days at a
time...what is the best protocol for invoicing?

1. Should we add a new invoice for each day?

2. Should we 'finalise' each invoice at the end of each day or leave it
'in progress' until we are ready to discharge the patient? (and...if we
finalise an invoice we can't adjust it later, can we?)

Financial Reporting

Having recently moved from Rx works I am missing their products and services report which had all products and services on the vertical axis and the vets on the horizontal axis and reported the number of times each product or service was charged with the total and average charge for each.

Has anyone been able to do a similar report in open? With 20 + "types" and 9 vets on the team generating this information is a cumbersome process using the reports that we currently have.

Updated openvpms

Hi

Was just wondering what was happening about an update version of openvpms

Showing price of template on the template page

As a new user of openvpms I have been setting up templates and find it frustrating not to be able to see what the total fee for a template is until it is applied.

If the fee were visible it would provide a quick way of giving clients a "ball park" figure for a procedure without doing an estimate.
