Why does OPEN insist on reverting to lower case on products. I find this incredibly frustrating when try to add products, lab tests etc that require capital letters.

We were considering proposing a new development and were curious if others would be interested as well. 

We would like to see an auto-promt be generated when an invoice is completed that includes a rabies vaccine. The prompt would require that a rabies tag number be entered before the user could proceed.  While a process currently exists for entering this information, an auto-prompt would be both quicker and ensure fewer tags sneak out without getting recorded.

I'm new to the system. I have just finished installing it. I was under the impression that the system suppose to come with some templates. mine has got none. does anyone have any idea why?

Is it possible to put Open VPMS on iPad ? This would be great for surgical (GA monitoring) nurse to charge out medicine and consumable items used in surgery. This would improve charge capture / compliance. For obvious reasons relating to sterility and reducing clutter we prefer not to have a full desktop or even laptop in the surgical theatre (although I have heard of it being done).

Does anyone know when we will be able to run a report showing all payments by certain credit cards:

Separate Deposit List - not currently used by the system. Reserved for future use to control whether, when processing the Bank Deposits, the system is to generate a separate report for amounts paid by this card.

I use Excel all the time.  When I am in Open and want to use the Open Spreadsheets, I can't seem to use the results to run calculations, additions of columns etc.  Is it to do with how I save the file?

I have a cost of sales report that gives me the cost of each item.

Does a report exist that can group the items so I can monitor the input cost of each product type.  ie, cost, income and therefore profit from all my injectible drugs as an example?

What was the 'Shared Resources' area (accessed via the Users menu) has been renovated and renamed the 'Resource Library'.  It is far easier to search.

Go to http://www.openvpms.org/resources-search and have a play. As I was going through setting the types and categories, I came across some useful stuff that I did not realise was there, so have a look.

If you have complaints about the type and category selection, please speak up.

We just upgraded from V1.6 to V1.8. We find we are getting logged out as follows:

Your session has been inactive for too long.

You have been automatically logged out.

This never happened before - is it a bug - or any other ideas ?
