Since our upgrade to V1.8, the clinician is now centred right not left.

This means that before saving a history or invoice for a vet such as Angus Donald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAFF CAV 1473 we now see "nald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAFF CAV 1473".

It would be a whole lot easier and less clunky if we could see what we saw before which was Angus Donald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAF (as before the upgrade, when centred left).

Any suggestions ?

I need a little help getting Clickatell set up in OPEN. Our Clickatell account have been authenticated and I have inputted the needed fields in OPEN per the online instructions but I keep getting an error from Clickatell that reads: ERR: 001, Authentication failed

We are a US user if that changes anything. 

Is there anyone out there that can provide a little direction for me?

So, one issue we have had in the past (and still today to an extent) is finding companies that have experience with, support or provides software that integrates with OVPMS. While the general advice has been to "google it", anyone who has done so will have seen there is a limited amount of companies out there that that you can find this way.

We have had a sudden problem where we are unable to print anything from open vpms and attempting to print anything freezes the whole program. This includes drug labels from the label printer as well as invoices, certificates etc from the A4 printer. We are able to print other documents on this printer from the same computer (eg Word documents) but not anything from open vpms. When we attempt to print anything from open vpms we get the small grey box with "Please wait..." and the scrolling circle symbol but then it freezes.

I have been asked to break down invoice data by the time and date the invoice was started. I.e. I need to group all invoices started between 7pm and 7am in one pile and those between 7am and 7pm in another... Bonus marks to me if I can also differentiate based on days of the week...

As we rollout OPEN to additional locations, a feature that we consider critical that is not currently included is lockable medical records. Most of the software programs our managers have used in the past lock medical records at a given point, either at midnight or once the banking is finalized every evening. Once a record is locked, an addendum can be added, but the original record cannot be modified. 

Has anyone implemented the new SMS reminder system well ? We would be keen to talk as we would like to use but wonder how to deal with multi pet multi reminder situations. For example a pet owner with 3 dogs, all getting vac and Proheart inj (that is 6 separate reminders possibly at the same time). I suspect 6 simultaneous SMS's would annoy. Any suggestions ?

At the recent ASAVA conference a leading pet insurer said they were currently beta testing online insurance claims for RxWorks. They said the next system they will implement will be Open VPMS. Thru data mining & number of insurance submissions they know Open VPMS is the 2nd most widely used vet software in Australia. This is a stat no-one else had ever really made known to me. So well done Open VPMS !
