eml Documents

Hi everyone,

We are receiving patient histories from our referring vets with .eml attachments. We are able to open these attachments on our computers that have Windows 7 or Windows 8, but are unable to open them on most of the computers here (we run Windows Server 2008).

I am wondering if anyone can advise me what to download to our server so the vets can open the documents in OpenVPMS on the computers that run Windows 2008.

Creating Appointments

Is there a way to be able to view who created an appointment in the appoointment scheduler?

Hi,

I am having trouble figuring out how to let users link suppliers (vets/vet clinics) to patients, but not allow them to create new suppliers (i.e. add a new vet or clinic just because they can't find the one they are looking for - which are usually there, they just haven't searched with a wildcard search).

The permissions these roles have are:

Supplier All Acts Create

Supplier All Acts Save

Suppliers Create

Suppliers Save

Suggestions would be appreciated.

changing reminder selection for reminder runs

At present you can only select all reminders or 1 individual reminder to run. There are times that I either wish I could select 2-3 reminders to be run or want to run all except for 1 or 2. Would it be possible to change the reminders wrokspace to have a select list that allows multiple values (like the purposes selector in contact details) rather than the drop down list?

Who Created that New Visit?

Hi,

Is there any way to capture the User who created a new Visit rather than just the clinician?

Can this be added as a required field when a new visit is created?

I would like to track who creates a new visit rather than the clinician (this is recorded in the notes) as this will help with working out who needs more training on how to use OVPMS/follow protocol.

Change user ability to delete item from invoice

Hi all,

I've had a request to see if it is possible to stop staff from being able to delete an item from an in progress invoice?

If I change the Roles within a User so they cannot remove.all, that works so they cannot delete an item from an invoice, but it also means they cannot delete an appointment etc.

Is there a way to change it so a particular user or role can just not delete an invoice item.

Customer Email Marketing Report yielding 0 records

Hello All,

I'm, not sure if comments posted in Users > Shared Resources get distributed to anyone (?) and so I'm asking here.

I found this recent report template that among other things generates a list of those customers that have provided us with email addresses.  That's exactly what I need... in fact it could be simpler.  Unfortunately this template does not yield any records when run on our system.

Autoinsert spacing after a full stop in product name

Hi,

We are relatively new to OpenVPMS so sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. We are currently using version 1.7.1. When adding new products into OpenVPMS a space is automatically inserted after a full stop. This makes it hard to read for products that have a decimal point in the name. We could work around this by using fractions rather than decimal points but that would be less than ideal.

 

Medical notes disappear when edit

Hi all

We have been using OpenVPMS for a year now and never had a problem.

Recently though I noticed that when I try to edit patient's medical notes, rather than a popup with existing medical notes, the notes are gone and if I click 'OK' without any input the existing note would be deleted. This has never happened before and we haven't updated the system so I'm a bit puzzled. Anyone else experienced this before?

Customer Order Returns & Credits/Negative Priced Items on Invoices

Currently if we have a return from our electronic pharmacy this gets created as a Credit even if we are returning items that are on a current/active invoice. This is a problem for two reasons:

1) The credit note is a seperate document that needs to be actioned and finalised. This is usually not done as it doesn't appear in the typical workflow.

2) The credit doesn't appear on the invoice but a seperate credit note. It is hard for staff to track if an item has been returned and demonstrate this to clients.
