We've noticed that some of the microchip subscriptions we fax through to CAR don't appear on the database.  Is there a report that exists, or that I can modify, that will generate a list of microchips implanted over a selected period that we can use to cross-check against CAR's database?

I stumbled across
*patient.entity.description.*

I tested this in a patient form and it appears to be "sex + colour + breed +
(Microchip: microchip)",
eg "/Male Blue Australian Cattle Dog (Microchip: 956000001111234)/". 

As it's not listed in the document on merging data, nor can I find it
mentioned anywhere on the forum following a search, I'm wondering if it's
still a valid (and useful) merge field or whether it's been deprecated.

Has anyone been able to get input fields working on patient/customer letters using LibreOffice? I understand that OpenVPMS will prompt for any input fields it encounters. If that's correct, then I'm thinking it may not work w/ LibreOffice running on the backend, or perhaps with LibreOffice formatted ODF/ODT files. Any experiences out there?

I was wondering how others report on After Hour appointment types. We pay our vets a % of after hour services, and I was thinking the way to record/find these visits at the end of each month, was to have an appointment type called---"after hours"

Can you then search the data base for" appointment type"

If not, how do others find, their after hours vet calls

Hi all,

The mailing lists have been out of action for the last few weeks due to a server infrastructure upgrade. Apologies for any inconvenience.

If I add a new "Appointment Reason" to Administration | Lookups, it appears in the "Reason" drop-down list when scheduling a new appointment, but then, when looking at the Schedule, the appointment reads "null": the only Appointment Reasons that appear in the schedule are Checkup, Other, Vaccination. 

Added items such as Surgery, Dental Procedure, Desexing all appear as "null".

Am I adding these extra Reasons in the right place? Or are there only three hard-coded?

After our recent update to 1.5, we can no longer see our 'Print Label' button in the Drug Label window. If the edge of the window is dragged to the right, the button then becomes visible, but this currently needs to be done every time you print a label. Is there some way of adjusting the default window size. Would have been good to have a keyboard shortcut for printing labels. Not sure if htis is down for future versions?

We just upgraded to 1.5 (beta) and have had a problem with patient letters not printing properly upon completing the invoice, despite being set up to do this. Patient forms print out fine here. With patient letters we do not get the option of filling out the text in the windows that pop up, it just prints out with these blank. If we go into patient documents & click on print, we can then enter information into the windows & it will print fine.
